THE CHALLENGE
To design and build 10no. ASIAD compliant modules (Aviation Security in Airport Development) for Car Rental Operators as part of the Anti-Terrorism program.
THE OUTCOME
Our technical design team conducted a full review of all materials utilized within our standard modular design to establish which were combustible and which were not.
Once all combustible materials had been identified and non-combustible alternatives were sourced, the modules were redesigned to accommodate. Specially bonded glazing and window systems were introduced along with other blast resistant features.
Once the design had been complete, this was submitted to the ASIAD compliance consultant and signed off as approved and manufacture could commence.
The initial 6no. modules were manufactured and delivered within 12 weeks with a further 4no. manufactured and delivered a few months later as part of the new rail terminal development program.
